Enter Matt C:

The more I read back and look over this trip to get it ready for this blog the more I realize how badass this trip was. We seriously would drive for hours seeing no one. Not even a sign of electricity and on dirt roads. Definitely off the grid.

Fitz Roy in El Chalten was where Yvon Chouinard (Patagonia) and Douglas Tompkins (North Face) developed gear and spent time. Douglas Tompkins died in a kayaking accident in Patagonia 2 weeks before we got there. We went to his grave site, he is buried behind Parque Patagonia, this is a photo of the entrance. He also founded that park and did major conservation work in the area.
